Of 355 significant dwelling claims after the 2023 Gray and Oregon Road fires, 244 paid out 100% of their coverage, which the Insurance Commissioner called a sign that coverage limits were reached. Separately, 32% of everyone who filed a significant-loss claim was dropped by their insurer: 36 policies non-renewed, 79 cancelled mid-term.
