The Hawk Fire outside Reno had run up $6.7 million in suppression costs and taken 48 structures as of the morning of August 26, at 15,067 acres and 85% contained. It was Washoe County's fourth Fire Management Assistance Grant this month, after the Bug, Fred Mountain and Stallion fires.
