FEMA has approved more than $45 million in assistance to Louisiana households after Tropical Storm Arthur, across 8,057 approved applications. The storm made landfall on 17 June. The household money was still climbing in the middle of October, four months later, which is what a real disaster bill looks like: not one number announced at the time, but a total that keeps moving long after the coverage ends.
