Washington's Department of Natural Resources sued Inland Power in December 2024 over the 2023 Gray Fire, seeking about $936,000 in suppression costs. That is down from more than $3 million in DNR expenses, partly because of federal grant money. The company has refused to reimburse and the case is unresolved.
