From 10 to 12 March, more than 95 tornadoes were reported across central and southern Illinois, southern Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia. Climate Central, which took over the billion-dollar disaster database after NOAA retired it, puts the cost at $4.2 billion, adjusted for inflation. It is filed as the Central and Southeastern Tornado Outbreak and Severe Storms. It was the first of three billion-dollar wind disasters in a single week.
