About $237 million is what Florida asked FEMA for in the week after Hurricane Isaias: debris removal, infrastructure repair and emergency protective measures across 15 Panhandle and Big Bend counties, plus household assistance in 8 of them.
The major disaster declaration, DR-4955-FL, was approved on 27 October, 18 days after landfall. It covers Public Assistance for the 15 counties. Individual Assistance for households in the 8 requested counties is still under review.
